OUR PROGRAMME

Our programme provides activities that are both teacher directed and child initiated, empowering children to develop to their full potential. We welcome your participation and feedback as we are working together in the development of your children. The monthly programme board is displayed at the centre. Take a little time to read and discuss the activities with your child.

4 YEAR OLD PROGRAMME

When your child reaches the age 4 years he/she will join the extended 4 year old programme (afternoons).

As well as covering all aspects of the early childhood curriculum, this programme provides learning areas for the development of written language, reading, writing and maths in preparation for school. Children are issued with stationery which includes a homework book. Age appropriate activities are given to complete at home.

These are a valuable extension to our programme, providing a further link in parent/centre communications. The head teacher will contact you before your child's 4th birthday to advise you on the transition.

MORNING AND AFTERNOON TEA

Nutritious drinks and snacks are provided at no extra charge. Children are required to be seated while eating and drinking. Morning and afternoon tea time is an important time where children are beginning to learn vital social skills. Please advise the head teacher of any special dietary needs your child may have.
